Power / Landlines
When the power goes out due to a storm, it is usually out for quite a while unless it involves a larger area like from St. Peters down.
The landlines go down in our area within 1-2 hrs following the power.
With the landlines down, that also throws out our 911 dispatch.
With no or little cell coverage in most of Framboise you are unable to get in touch with any emergency services.
This happened last year during hurricane Dorian where we were without power and landline service for 164 hrs.
We had our emergency shelter opened at our local hall where fire department had portable TMR Radios available for any emergency someone could go there to get in touch with someone.
