Plowing:
There have been times when the Department of Transportation has sent the grader down to plow the pavement from Grand River to Framboise. Fully knowing that the grader cannot cross the one land bridge "Bailey" bridge in Framboise. They are then told to go right back up to Grand River and continue up that way. This leaves the pavement from Framboise-Fourchu unplowed for sometimes an additional 24-36 hrs.
This could be ratified easily by sending the grader around through the Stirling and North Framboise Roads and the continue to Fullers Bridge which is the 2nd one lane bridge between Framboise and Fourchu.
The Department of Transportation could make arrangements with Cape Breton County for their plow to come up as far as Fullers bridge (when needed) and this create a cost-savings in the reduction of fuel and man hours as they would otherwise have to re-dispatch the grader or Oshkosh in subsequent days to do the dirt roads.
